Online Betting – NBA Futures Favor the Heat but GM’s Pick the Lakers

Take a look at the online betting NBA odds at Sbgglobal and you will see that the Miami Heat is the favorites to win the title this season at +150.

The Heat have their potent trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh and the public has jumped all over them.  The Lakers are the second choice in Internet betting at +225 despite the fact they are the two-time defending champions.

NBA GM’s Like the Lakers – Before you plunk down your cash on the Heat to win the NBA title you might want to listen to who the NBA general managers think will win the title this season. 63 percent of the 28 general managers who responded to the annual GM survey picked the Lakers to win the title this season. The Heat was picked by 33 percent of the GM’s while the Boston Celtics were picked by 4 percent of the GM’s.

MVP – The GM’s picked Kevin Durant as who they think will win the MVP award this season. He got 67 percent of the votes. And no, it was not LeBron James who was picked next. It was Kobe Bryant who got 26 percent of the votes.  James got only a single vote as did Orlando’s Dwight Howard.

Other Predictions – The GM’s predict that John Wall will win the rookie of the year. They believe that Utah’s Deron Williams will be the best point guard in the league while Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki and Pau Gasol are the two best forwards. They believe Howard is the best center in the league, James the best small forward and Kobe the best shooting guard. Howard was picked as the best defensive player in the league. The Lakers Phil Jackson was picked as the league’s best coach.

Improved Teams – GM’s believe the Heat will be the most improved team in the league this season and that makes sense if you look at the Internet betting odds but GM’s also believe that New York and Washington will be improved.  The GM’s believe the Utah Jazz have the best home court advantage in the league so that is something to keep in mind as you look to make your NBA online betting wagers this season.
