Real Madrid Favored in Bookmaker Odds Even Without Kaka

Real Madrid will be without playmaker Kaka for three to four months but they are still going to be favored in soccer odds at the bookmaker. Kaka has a left knee injury and was scheduled to have surgery on his meniscus.  While the loss of Kaka hurts RM, the team still has a number of players who can make an impact vs. online bookmaker odds.

Bookmaker odds list Barcelona as the favorite to win the La Liga title this season with RM a close second choice.  Madrid has a new coach in Jose Mourinho and many people believe they can wrest the title away from Barcelona this season.  Madrid got a late goal from Cristiano Ronaldo to win a preseason friendly against Club America 3-2 on Wednesday. Mourinho came over from Inter Milan in the off-season and he likes the look of his new team.

Many of the top players for Madrid are not playing in their North American tour including goaltender Iker Casillas, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos, Raul Albiol and Alvaro Arbeloa. The North American Tour for Madrid concludes on Saturday as the team faces the Los Angeles Galaxy.

They are  hoping to sign Thiago Silva, who played for A.C. Milan last season.  Madrid really wants to add a top defender and Silva could be the answer.  The team has already signed German midfielder Sami Khedira, who played for VfB Stuttgart in Germany’s Bundesliga last season. The addition of Khedira could be important as he is an excellent midfielder. He scored a goal in the World Cup for Germany and played very well.

The La Liga title this season is really all about Barcelona and Real Madrid in terms of soccer odds at the online bookmaker. Even with the loss of Kaka, Madrid is capable of taking the top spot away from the champs.  Barcelona begins their season on August 29th as they travel to Racing Santander while Madrid will travel to take on Mallorca. The big matches this season between Barcelona and Madrid are really spread out on the schedule. The El Clasico will begin on November 28 at the Camp Nou with the return leg at the Bernabeu on April 17th.
