Bookmaker – Raiders Best Player Becomes Free Agent.  There is no doubt at the bookmaker who the best player on the Raiders is.  Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is Oakland’s best player but because of a little known clause in his contract he has become a free agent.  Asomugha is not just the best player on the Raiders he is the best cornerback in the league and can improve any team’s chances of winning vs. the online bookmaker odds at Sbg global.

Weird Contract
Leave it to Al Davis to screw up a contract.  The Raiders owner has made a number of boneheaded decisions in the past decade which is why Oakland hasn’t had a winning record since their Super Bowl season in 2002.  The contract that Asomugha had included a clause that said his contract would be void if he didn’t achieve certain incentives.  And on top of that the clause said that the Raiders could not franchise him if those clauses were not reached.  Asomugha signed a $45.3 million, three-year contract in 2009 that made him the highest paid defensive back in NFL history. The clause in his contract said that he had to play more defensive plays in 2010 than he did in 2009 but that didn’t happen because Asomugha missed two games.  Other incentives revolved around interceptions, fumble recoveries or sacks but those are not numbers that Asomugha normally gets anyway. Gamblers at the online bookmaker know that he is a lockdown cornerback so he is always on another team’s top receiver.

Asomugha’s Great Numbers
You can’t just look at interceptions, fumble recoveries and sacks to judge how great a player is.  When you look at Asomugha’s numbers you won’t see interceptions, sacks or fumble recoveries.  You have to dig deeper. Opposing teams simply don’t throw at him because he is so good. He was targeted on just 33 pass attempts this season. He allowed just 13 completions for 205 yards and no touchdowns. Those numbers are simply unbelievable and impress bookmaker gamblers.  Opposing teams simply won’t throw his way which means he effectively takes a team’s top receiver out of the game entirely.  When you are so good that an NFL team won’t even challenge you then you have achieved greatness status and that is what Asomugha has achieved.  Now he is on the open market as a free agent. Experts at the bookmaker believe he still may return to the Raiders as he is very loyal but keep in mind he did like head coach Tom Cable who was fired.
