The Lightning have won six of their last seven in NHL betting and they are favored against Boston at Sbg global in this Tuesday night contest.
Back-to-Back for Boston
This is a tough game for Boston since they had to play against the Panthers last night while Tampa Bay is rested. Boston is in the midst of their toughest road trip of the season that goes for five games. The last time the Bruins were on the road they stunk things up losing to Buffalo and Montreal. Boston has been pretty good this season on the road though and they have the defense and the goaltending to win at Tampa Bay.
Tight Tampa Games
The last three games for Tampa Bay have all gone into overtime and the Lightning have won two of the three. Going back even further, six of the last eight Tampa games have gone into overtime. And playing extra time is no problem for Tampa as they won four of those six games. Vincent Lecavalier scored twice in the last win against Atlanta including the game-winner while on the power play in overtime. He has three goals in his last two games, and has notched points in four of the six contests. Steven Stamkos also scored for Tampa for his 28th goal of the year. Goaltender Dan Ellis was excellent making 26 saves on 28 Thrashers’ shots. He has now won four of his last five decisions. The Lightning is now 7-1-2 in the 10 games following the 8-1 road loss to the Boston Bruins on December 2nd. The Lightning now gets a chance to avenge that NHL betting loss on Tuesday night.
