The city of Chicago’s first sports betting title since the White Sox won the World Series in 2005 and the city’s first Stanley Cup odds title in 49 years.
Right of the gates you could tell this was this was going to be an epic hockey betting battle and if the Chicago Blackhawks were going to claim their first championship in five decades and hoist the 2010 Stanley Cup odds title they were going to have to earn it. And that’s exactly what they did.
The Hawks got on the board first sending message to the Flyers and disrupting the home team’s game plan to apply pressure early on the Hawks’ defense and goal keeper Antii Niemi. Dustin Byfuglien the hero of Game 3 was assisted on the power play by stars Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane to strike first blood in Game 6 of the 2010 Stanley Cup odds competition. From that point on it seemed as the Blackhawks really seized control of this game and ultimately the Stanley Cup betting competition.
The struck back just minutes later on a beautiful Scotty Hartnell goal and actually took the lead in the 2nd period on a Danny Brier goal eight minutes into the action. But once again, as they’ve done the entire 2010 Stanley Cup odds competition, the Hawks bounce back with a game-tying goal by Patrick Sharp and added a physiological backbreaker with just 2 minutes left in the 2nd period to head into the 3rd period with a one goal lead and just 20 minutes between the team and the 2010 Stanley Cup odds championship.
Philly tied the game in the third with another gutsy goal by Hartnell with just 3:59 left in the period. But in overtime it took just 4:06 for Kane to find the net on impossible goal from the left wing. In fact, no but Kane knew that it went in for the longest time and several moments before the officiating crew finally signaled goal and the Hawks claimed the 2010 Stanley Cup odds title.
It was a real thrilling and fitting finish to a spectacular Stanley Cup betting series.
