Titan’s Owner Wants Young to Start NFL Lines

NFL lines have seen the Tennessee Titans go from a fantastic team last year to among the worst in the league this season. Changes could be coming that impact NFL betting odds though, as owner Bud Adams has reportedly told head coach Jeff Fisher that he wants Vince Young to start at quarterback.

NFL lines actually have the Titans favored by three points at home as they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The issue in this NFL lines matchup has become who will start at quarterback for Tennessee. Fisher wants to stay with Kerry Collins while Adams wants Young. Adams was reported telling a local newspaper that now is the time for Young. “I have been wanting [Fisher] to play Vince Young more because Collins has been having his problems out there,” Adams said to the newspaper, “I just think we need to find out how well [Young] can do. If you don’t play the guy and lose all your games, it is hard for you to see what he can do for you. Vince has won a lot of games for us.”

Fisher may not have any choice but to start Young even though he would prefer not to. The Titans are 0-6 and going nowhere this NFL lines season. There is little to lose by starting Young. The Titans have actually lost eight straight NFL lines games going back to last season. Collins has not played well this NFL lines season. He is 108 of 197 passes with five touchdowns and eight interceptions this NFL betting odds season. It is not all his fault though as his receivers haven’t helped him much. “It’s really no different than what we’ve been saying since Week 1. We have to improve around him. We have to get open. We have to make the tight catch,” Fisher said.

Collins was great last year in NFL lines for Tennessee as the Titans went 13-3. Collins was 12-3 as the starter a year ago in NFL lines action. The Titans actually signed him to a two-year, $14 million deal this NFL betting odds offseason. NFL lines now have them regretting that decision since the owner wants to see Young.

The Titans are 0-6 this season straight up and 1-5 against the NFL lines. They have yet to cover the NFL lines at home although they have played just two home contests. They have a chance on Sunday though in NFL betting odds against a weak Jacksonville team.
