NFL Betting – San Diego at Denver

NFL betting has first place in the AFC West on the line on Sunday as the Denver Broncos host the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers have been red hot of late, winning their last four while the Broncos have lost their last three. This should be an excellent pro football betting game with the Chargers a slight favorite in the game.

NFL a few weeks ago had the Chargers in sad shape while the Broncos were running away with the division. How things have changed after the Broncos have lost three straight in pro football betting while San Diego has gotten hot. Last month the Broncos won 34-23 at San Diego in NFL and took firm control of the AFC West. Since that time the Chargers have won four straight including NFL wins over the New York Giants and Philadelphia.  “We didn’t know it would happen like this, or this fast, that we would be sitting here with the same record, but we believed we could get ourselves back in it because we were talking about 11 more ballgames,” Rivers said.

The Broncos concern in this NFL matchup is the health of quarterback Kyle Orton. He was hurt last week in the pro football betting loss to Washington and after he left the team collapsed, losing 27-17.  Backup quarterback Chris Simms did not play well last NFL betting week but head coach Josh McDaniels was not putting all the blame on Simms. “I would have loved for (Simms) to have played better, but I think there’s some other things that happened in the course of the second half that affected his play or would have affected Kyle’s play,” McDaniels said.

The Chargers have won two of their last three NFL games at Denver. The Chargers are 5-2 against Denver in their last seven meetings. This will be the 100th regular-season game between the two teams. Denver leads the all-time series 54-44-1.

The Chargers are 22-10-4 in NFL betting in their last 36 vs. the AFC West. The Broncos are 7-18-1 vs. the NFL betting number in their last 26 home games. The Chargers are 5-1-1 in NFL betting in the last 7 meetings between the two teams.

Stats show that 19 of the last 29 San Diego road games have gone over in NFL betting.  The last four Denver home games have gone under.  Six of the last seven meetings between San Diego and Denver have gone over in pro football betting.
