No Prime Time Games for Seattle in NFL Betting Lines

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to be improved vs. the NFL betting lines this season but they will not be featured in prime time. The Cardinals open up at home in Week 1 of the regular season vs. the San Francisco 49ers and they are 2.5-point underdogs in NFL lines.

NFL betting lines won’t favor the Seahawks in any of their first three games. They are underdogs against San Francisco and then they go to Denver followed by a home game against San Diego. The opening part of the season is very difficult for Seattle so to stay in the NFC West division race they must at least be competitive.  The Seahawks will need to steal at least one of their first three games and then win at St. Louis in Week 4. That would make them 2-2 before their bye in Week 5.

The Seahawks go to Chicago in Week 6 followed by a home game against Arizona. Week 8 has them at Oakland followed by a home game vs. the New York Giants.  Week 10 for the Seahawks has them playing Arizona for the second time in four weeks and then Seattle has to go to New Orleans in Week 11.

The Seahawks do have a favorable schedule in the latter part of the year vs. the NFL lines. They host Kansas City and Carolina in Weeks 12 and 13 before going to San Francisco in Week 14.  The Week 15 game at home against Atlanta will not be easy but the Seahawks finish at Tampa Bay and home against St. Louis.  If the Seahawks can survive the first part of the season they have a chance to be in the NFC West race this season.

The Seahawks are picked behind the 49ers and the Cardinals in the NFC West this season.  No one really knows how good Seattle is going to be under Pete Carroll and Seattle will not be seen on Monday Night Football this year, and unless they are in the race late in the season they won’t be on NBC either. They could be much improved over last season or they could struggle again with an aging quarterback in Matt Hasselbeck.  It shouldn’t take long to find out though as the Seahawks have some tough games in the first month of the season.
