Plaxico Burress says he Will Play Again NFL Odds

NFL odds just a couple of seasons ago had Plaxico Burress making a major impact as the New York Giants upset the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Burress is now in prison but he said he is going to play in the NFL again.  NFL betting lines had him stating to former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher his intentions to play again.

NFL odds had Burress as one of the best receivers in the NFL before he was sent to jail.  Burress is in a New York prison serving time after pleading guilty to a second degree attempted weapons possession charge. Burress was sentenced to two years and with credit for good behavior could be out in the spring of 2011.  That would mean he could play in the NFL during that NFL betting lines year. NFL odds indicated that Burress said that he apologized to the Giants for his actions. “I told them how sorry I was about bringing all this bad publicity to such a stand-up organization,” Burress said in a CBS interview that will be seen on Sunday.  CBS has a long pregame show in advance of Super Bowl XLIV on Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts are 5-point favorites in NFL odds over the Plaxico Burress New Orleans Saints.

Burress was at a nightclub in 2008 and had a gun with him. The gun slipped and he was hit in his right thigh.  New York has very tough gun laws and Burress was indicted on gun possession charges. He pleaded guilty to reduced charges and began serving his sentence last year.

It was just two years ago in Super Bowl XLII that Burress was a hero in NFL betting lines.  He caught the game winning TD pass in the New York’s 17-14 upset of the New England Patriots in NFL odds.  Burress could get a chance to play in the 2011 NFL odds season.  There are teams that have said they would look at Burress once he was approved to play.  It is also interesting to note that Cowher did this interview.  Many are speculating that Cowher will return to coaching somewhere for the 2011 NFL betting lines football season.  Many are predicting that if the Jacksonville job opens up that is where Cowher would want to go.  And the Jaguars have needed receiving help for years.  Burress could be impact NFL odds in the not too distant future.
