Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver NFL Betting

NFL betting on Monday night has an excellent matchup between the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos. The Steelers are 5-2 on the season while the Broncos are 6-1. Pittsburgh is favored by a field goal in pro football betting in ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

NFL betting has seen the Steelers win their last four games while the Broncos are coming off their first loss of the season.  Pittsburgh has looked very good of late in NFL betting and could be a popular choice in this game.

“We’ve put ourselves in a good position to go into this bye, but November, December, that’s where the real teams start to separate themselves,” Pittsburgh  Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel said. “Hopefully, if we’re a real team around here, we can continue this win streak.”

The Steelers have not won in Denver since 1990. They should have a chance to win in pro football betting on Monday with an efficient offense and tough defense.  Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is third in the NFL with 2,062 passing yards.  The Steelers defense has not allowed a 100-yard rusher in their last 25 regular-season pro football betting games.

Denver is coming off their first NFL betting loss of the season after starting the season 6-0. “Anytime you have a game like this, it forces you to look in a mirror,” head coach Josh McDaniels said, “Hopefully we can find out just as much about one another – through the adversity of a loss as you can through six wins.” Denver leads the all-time series 13-6-1 and they have won nine of the last 12 against the Steelers.

The Steelers are 11-9 all-time following their bye week.  Pittsburgh with head coach Mike Tomlin is 11-1 in primetime games including 4-0 on Monday Night Football.  Pittsburgh is only 2-5 versus the NFL betting odds though in their last 7 Monday games. The Steelers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a road favorite in NFL betting.

The Broncos are 4-0 in pro football betting in their last 4 games as a home underdog. The underdog is 4-0 in NFL betting in the last 4 meetings between Pittsburgh and Denver.

Five of the last six Pittsburgh games as a road favorite have gone over the NFL betting total. The Over is 16-5 in NFL betting in the Steelers last 21 vs. the AFC. Eight of the last nine Denver home games have gone under in NFL betting. Five of the last six meetings between Denver and Pittsburgh have gone over in NFL betting.
