NFL Betting – Attention on T.O. as Bills Open Camp

The Buffalo Bills opened up training camp this past weekend and most of the attention was on wide receiver Terrell Owens. The Bills are counting on T.O. heavily this season as they try and make the playoffs. NFL betting odds at the online sportsbook have the Bills as 25-1 to win Super Bowl XLIV.

Buffalo is getting more attention on NFL betting simply because T. O. is on the team. That attention has started even in training camp as NFL betting info tells us. Owens was signing autographs for fans on Saturday and all of the attention took away from everything else that was going on. “It adds a lot of excitement,” head coach Dick Jauron said. “I don’t know how (the attention) can be bad.”

Online betting info shows that more than 5,000 fans attended the Bills first two practice sessions, just to get a look at T.O. All of the attention is nothing new for Owens but it is a new experience for many of their other players. There were many fans that were wearing #81 jerseys and many that brought popcorn to dump onto the field. It was a circus-type atmosphere that Owens is used to. “I’m used to it,” Owens said, “Everywhere that I’ve been, it’s always been that type of reception.” T.O. has felt very comfortable in Buffalo so far. “I know that the Buffalo fans are very very fanatical,” Owens said. “So, coming out here, I expected nothing less.”

Fans cheered whenever Owens did anything in the practice. The fans really got excited when quarterback Trent Edwards hit Owens on a 60-yard completion that would have been a TD. Owens just lapped up the attention from the fans

The Bills have already sold more than 50,000 season tickets for the season as NFL betting numbers indicate and Owens is a big reason why. Teammate Lee Evans believes that Owens will deliver this season. “With him coming here, we see what we can do offensively and I think there’s great optimism,” Evans said. “We feel like now we have a real shot — we have the potential and the talent — to be able to make the playoffs.”

NFL odds makers seem to agree as the Bills are given a chance to make an impact in 2009. They play in a tough division though with the New England Patriots so it will not be easy in NFL betting for the Bills this season.
