NFL Betting – Cincinnati at Oakland

NFL betting favors the Cincinnati Bengals on the road as they face the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The Bengals are having a very successful pro football betting season while the Raiders are again a mess.  Here is a look at this matchup between Cincinnati and Oakland.

NFL has seen the Bengals go 7-2 this season. The team is in control of the AFC North after beating Baltimore and Pittsburgh twice. “It’s scary because everybody’s going to be patting us on the back, telling us how good we are,” quarterback Carson Palmer said. “We’re not good enough to win the Super Bowl right now. We have a long way to go. We’re not good enough to make a dominant playoff run, we have a long way to go.”

The Bengals are heavily favored on Sunday in NFL as they face a poor Oakland team.  The concern for Cincinnati in NFL betting is that they have lost 13 of their last 14 road games at Oakland.  This week the Bengals signed Larry Johnson after he was released by Kansas City. Cincinnati has a great running game led by Cedric Benson but he did suffer an injury last week.

Oakland has done very little this season in NFL. They have finally decided to bench quarterback JaMarcus Russell for this week’s game. Bruce Gradkowski is expected to get the start. Russell has been terrible this NFL betting season throwing nine interceptions with a 47.1 completion percentage.

The last time Oakland and Cincinnati met in NFL was in 2006 when the Bengals won 27-10 at home.  The Bengals have been good this season on the road and they are 4-1 in NFL in their last 5 road games overall. The problem for Cincinnati on the road is when they are favored.  In that pro football betting role they are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games.

Oakland is terrible in most all NFL situations. The Raiders are 9-21 ATS in their last 30 games as a home underdog. The Raiders are 1-4 in pro football betting in their last 5 vs. the AFC.

Four of the last five Cincinnati games have gone under the NFL total. Eight of the last eleven Oakland home games have gone under in NFL betting. The last four meetings between the Bengals and Raiders have gone under the pro football betting total.
