Browns Sticking with Mangini NFL Betting Lines

NFL betting lines have seen the Cleveland Browns struggle mightily this season. With all of the losses you might think that Cleveland would change head coaches but that will not be the case as Cleveland owner Randy Lerner said he will stick with head coach Eric Mangini. The Browns have a bye this week in football odds and that is about the best thing you can say for Cleveland. NFL betting lines have had Cleveland as an underdog in every game this season. The Browns are 1-7 straight up and 3-5 against the NFL betting lines. They are sticking with Mangini as head coach for now though. Lerner told local newspapers that he was staying with Mangini through the bye week. That does not mean he isn’t looking for help. “We need as many credible, serious eyes and ears assessing this situation as is possible,” Lerner said. Mangini still believes he is the man to turn Cleveland around and that Lerner supports him. “I’ve never gotten a feeling otherwise in all of my conversations with Randy,” Mangini said.

The Browns have the worst quarterback in the league in Derek Anderson as stats show. He has the lowest QB rating in the league as football odds stats show and that is saying something considering Oakland has JaMarcus Russell. He was just 6 of 17 passes for 76 yards with two interceptions in the loss to Chicago. Mangini has not said whether he will bench Anderson and go back to Brady Quinn in NFL betting lines. “We’ll look at it,” Mangini said, “We’ll look at every single position.” Things may not get much better for Cleveland in. They host the Baltimore Ravens next week and that looks like a sure NFL betting lines loss. They go to Detroit the following week and that may be a chance to win a football odds game. They then go to Cincinnati, host San Diego and Pittsburgh, go to Kansas City before finishing the NFL betting lines season with Oakland and Jacksonville. If the Browns turn things over to Quinn they would have a chance in some of those games versus the NFL betting lines. They might even be football odds favorites against Oakland since that game is in Cleveland. The future doesn’t look bright for Cleveland in but history has shown things can turn around quickly and Mangini is hoping that is the case.
