Bet on NFL Preseason : Raiders vs. Seahawks

The Oakland Raiders will journey north up the U.S. western coastline to meet the Seattle Seahawks for both teams last tuneup prior to the start of the 2012 regular season. Gametime in CenturyLink Field is 10:00ET.

Oakland (1-2) literally beat up on Detroit last week in a 31-20 victory with many Lions departing for the sidelines during the contest. The list included star QB Matthew Stafford who bruised his hand on a sack by Raiders DE Dave Tollefson. Oakland had a slew of their own players watching from the bench as DT Richard Seymour, C Stefen Wisniewski, backup QB Matt Leinart and WR's Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford all were idle. Seattle (3-0) made a couple of moves since soundly trouncing the Kansas City Chiefs 44-14 last Friday. They cut veteran WR Terrell Owens after he dropped a couple of catchable balls and traded QB Tavaris Jackson to Buffalo. Apparently head coach Pete Carroll saw enough from rookie QB Russell Wilson after he threw 2 TD's vs. the Lions. Thursday's game will decide whether Wilson or former Packer backup Matt Flynn will be starting the regular season for the Seahawks. Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch's status is questionable for the contest.

These two teams last met in October 2010, when the Raiders destroyed the Seahawks 33-3 in Oakland. The Raiders lead the regular season series since 2001, winning three times and dropping two.

The Raiders are 1-2 SU on the preseason and 0-1 SU away from home. They are 2-1 ATS overall, and 1-0 ATS on the road. The Seahawks are 3-0 SU this year, and 1-0 SU in CenturyLink Field. They have gone 3-0 ATS overall, and are 1-0 ATS at home.

Seattle is a solid 6.5 point home favorite on a $110/$100 moneyline. When favored, the Seahawks are 2-0 ATS, and are 1-0 ATS as the home favorite. The Raiders are 2-0 ATS as the underdog, and 1-0 ATS as the road dog. The same moneyline holds for the under/over of 40 points.
