Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Football Betting

Football betting on Thursday has the Baltimore Ravens trying to complete a perfect preseason as they travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons. Gamblers that bet on football may have a tough choice in this game since the Falcons are the home squad against the unbeaten Ravens.  Here is a look at the Ravens vs. the Falcons for Thursday night in NFL preseason action.

Football betting has Atlanta a 3-point favorite with a total of 35.5.  Starters for both teams are not going to play long so quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan may only play a series or two in this football betting matchup.  Flacco was great last football betting week against Carolina, throwing for 247 yards and a TD.  He will be followed on Thursday in football betting by Troy Smith and John Beck.

Thursday’s football betting game won’t have many starters but it will have intense competition as players fight for roster spots. “When you talk about the last three, four, five spots, six spots – whatever those spots are, how many are you going to keep at a position – it depends on how guys play,” said Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh.

On the other side in football betting, the Falcons have also looked good.  Matt Ryan was solid again last bet on football week throwing for 140 yards in a win over San Diego.  Backup quarterbacks Chris Redman, D.J. Shockley, and John Parker Wilson will get most of the playing time in this football betting game. The Falcons will be taking a long look at fourth-year cornerback Tye Hill who they picked up from the St. Louis Rams as football betting indicates.  Bet on football info tells us that the Falcons are hoping to upgrade a questionable secondary. “Well, he’s going to be out here as quick as he can,” head coach Mike Smith said. “He’s got a lot of work to catch up. These guys have been working through about 1,700 scripted snaps and he hasn’t had them, so he’s going to have to learn. But he’s going to get an opportunity to come in here and compete.”

The Ravens and Falcons have met six times in football betting in the preseason.  The football betting series is tied 3-3.  Last year it was Atlanta winning 10-9 in bet on football action at Baltimore in a very low scoring contest.
