In the first quarter of the game the 49ers defense struggled early trying to become familiar with the plays and back-up QB Austin who was calling the signals for the Rams. Finally, the 49ers defense adjusted, and for the game sacked Ram’s QB Davis 5 times, which stalled the Rams defense and gave the 49ers QB Kaepernick to get his game rolling, to win the game 31-17 Monday night.

At the start of the game it, appeared that Saint Louis was set for an upset, and for the first 29 minutes of the game, it sure seemed possible. Then the 49ers turned up their offense and the Rams could no longer keep up! Plus the 49ers defense stepped up and with less than a minute to go in the game, DB Johnson intercepted the Rams QB and returned it for the final TD and sealing the game win.

With very few minutes left in the game, and the Rams trailing by a TD or 7 points. QB Davis striving to tie the game then threw a pass intended for his receiver which was intercepted, and returned for a 20 yard TD. That score for the 49ers killed the Rams chances to comeback and win the game that they had taken an early lead in.

The Rams 1-4 in week 7 play at home against Seattle Seahawks 3-2 (3rd AFC West) on Sunday, October 19th and on Fox TV. The early favorites in the game are the Seahawks at – 6 ½ (-115) with the Ov/Un at 43 ½ and the ML -280. The 49ers 4-2 play at the Denver Broncos 4-1 (2nd AFC West) also on Sunday at 8:30 PM on NBC TV, with the game played at the Sport Authority Field in Denver.
