Utah QB Battle Down to Two College Football Odds

College football betting odds are likely to be a little bit higher on the Utah Utes than they were a year ago. Last season the Utes were the team that rocked the BCS boat on the college football wagering line but this season the Utes have to replace a lot of starters including their quarterback.  The college football wagering line at the online sportsbook on Utah has them favored in their season opener on September 3rd against Utah State.

College football wagering odds at the online betting sportsbook could be impacted by which quarterback wins the starting job at Utah. College football wagering line information tells us that right now the battle is down to junior college transfer Terrance Cain or freshman Jordan Wynn.  Head coach Kyle Whittingham has said the two players are even.  Corbin Louks was also in the running as college football betting odds indicate, but he has transferred to Nevada.  Whichever one wins the job will have some talent that could impact college football wagering odds. “We’ve got a lot of playmakers,” Whittingham said. “They don’t have to be spectacular. They just have to play solid football for us.”

The new quarterback will be replacing Brian Johnson, who holds the school records with 26 wins as college football wagering  odds indicate including 13 last year when the Utes went unbeaten.  Wynn had the #1 job earlier in camp as college football betting odds show but Cain had a nice week of practices and has pulled even.  Cain played two years at Blinn Community College in Houston, passing for 3,138 yards and 29 touchdowns last season and was named NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year as college football betting odds indicate. “You can’t try to do too much,” Cain said. “Don’t try to be a hero. Just let it happen.”

Utah has a little time to get it worked out as they should not have a problem in college football betting odds against Utah State.  The road contest in college football betting odds at San Jose State shouldn’t be a problem.  They need to get things settled though because they go to Oregon on September 19th in college football betting odds. “Believe me, we’d like to see separation, but they’re both progressing and they’re both doing some good things,” Whittingham said. “We don’t start today so I don’t have to make that decision.”

Utah is a 21 point favorite in college football betting odds against Utah State in their opener.
