Texas an Underdog against Alabama BCS Bowl Betting

BCS Bowl betting has Texas getting points against Alabama on Thursday. Being a college football betting underdog though doesn’t bother Texas. “We don’t mind being underdogs; we’ve just got to execute and play.” Texas wide receiver Jordan Shipley said, “But we don’t think about it a lot, because Coach Brown does a good job of taking our minds off things.”  BCS Bowl betting a few years ago had Texas an underdog against USC in the title game and the Longhorns won outright.  This year in BCS Bowl betting many people are picking Alabama to win. “Everybody’s picking them,” Texas head coach Mack Brown said. “I can understand why.”  Texas uses that underdog role very well.  They may be underdogs in college football betting against Alabama but the players on Texas don’t believe it.
“I don’t think a lot of us are thinking about underdogs,” Texas quarterback Colt McCoy said. “We’re talking about how ‘Hey, we’re going to go out there have fun, execute and do our best.’ That’s our mentality.”

Texas is well aware of the BCS Bowl betting line on the game.  They may not have come out and said as much but they know they are underdogs in college football betting against the Crimson Tide.  “We use everything as motivation,” defensive back Aaron Williams said. “It doesn’t matter what it is.”  It should also be noted in college football betting that Alabama running back Mark Ingram won the Heisman Trophy while McCoy finished third. That could also be used as motivation for Texas.  “Coach Brown told us to find an edge, find what will make you better than the guy you’re going against every play,” McCoy said. “When we go to practice, when we go to meetings, when we are hanging out at the hotel, we’re slowly trying to find our edge, find our advantage.”

This is a very good and a very confident Texas team heading into this BCS Bowl betting matchup. While they are underdogs in BCS Bowl betting, the Longhorns are still unbeaten. “You’re still No. 2 in the country,” linebacker Keenan Robinson said, “so it’s not like you’re that much of an underdog.” And being an underdog has not been a bad thing in BCS Bowl betting as more often than not the underdog has won the game outright including six of the last seven and the last four.
