NCAA Football – Mississippi vs Arkansas

With the 2015 NCAA Football Season Week 12 upon us we have a Saturday the 21st of November game between SEC West rivals the 7-3 Bulldogs of Mississippi playing at the 6-4 Razorbacks of Arkansas with the game being played at the Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas with the kick-off scheduled for 7:05 PM ET and seen on ESPN TV.

If you Bet on College football at an Offshore betting site the opening odds are favoring the Razorbacks of Arkansas at –3 ½ and the Money Line at -175, while the Bulldogs of Mississippi State are listed as the underdogs at +155 on ML with no totals available at this time for the game.

The Bulldogs took a big hit in their goal to win the SEC West with their latest loss to the Crimson Tide of Alabama last Saturday and also watched their win streak of 4 games cease. Now they seek to win and improve their Bowl Game appearance possibilities. Can the beat the Razorbacks at home or will they lose in Fayetteville, and remember Arkansas is on a win streak as they have won their last 4 games and that included the last Saturday win over the No.9 Tigers of LSU.

For those that like the 7-2 Bulldogs of Mississippi State, your team had a costly lesson this past Saturday as they withstood a 31-6 rout by the Tide of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Now they move on to face the SEC West match-up with the rival Razorbacks of Arkansas on the road and in their ultimate 10 road games they are with 7 wins and 3 losses straight up.

In that game with the Tide the offense of the Bulldogs was choked out as seen in their low scoring in that game. Their QB Prescott however did accumulate some 302 yards and also connected to his WR’s for TD’s, and also managed having 1 pass intercepted. Plus he was sacked 9 times by the strong Alabama defense. Their offensive running game was disastrous and they only managed rushing for 42 carries and 88 yards in the game.

The game with the Razorbacks should be less troubling for the offense of Mississippi State because the defense of Arkansas has allowed opponents some 400 yards in each game this season. Their QB Prescott should have an easier game on offense since the Arkansas defense has the fewest sack in the SEC this season.

Thus we can look for QB Prescott to take advantage of the SEC’s worst team for defending the passing game and gives up some 284 yards in each game to date.

Then if you’re a backer of the 6-4 Razorbacks of Arkansas the teams win over the Tigers of LSU 31-14 and that was their 3rd straight victory and the 2nd against NCAA FB ranked opponents this 2015 season, as they increased the number of AP Top 25 teams that have fallen to the Razorbacks, who now take on Mississippi State.

In the game win over LSU the Arkansas defense looked promising for a change as they only allowed the Tigers some 270 yards passing, and that was due in most part because of the performance from the Razorbacks rushing defense that sacked the Tigers QB 5 times. That same defensive charge held the Tigers running game and star RB L. Fournette to 59 yards rushing. That showed a large improvement as in previous game their defense has allowed opponents some 130 yards rushing each game in 2015.

Offensively Arkansas will more than likely charge often with their running backs, who against LSU managed 300 yards on the grounds as RB Collins had 140 yards and 16 carries with 2 TD’s, and K. Walker had 17 carries for 90 yards. To date the Razorbacks each game have averaged some 204 yards each game in 2015. In their ultimate 10 games at home the Razorbacks are with 7 wins and 3 losses straight up.

The prediction for this game is that the Bulldogs of Mississippi State will out duel the Razorbacks of Arkansas on offense and win the game 34-28!
