NCAA Football – Arkansas vs Ole Miss

With the 2015 NCAA Football Regular Season Week 10 upon us, this Saturday the 7th of November 2015 we have the 2 SEC West rivals playing with the Razorbacks of Arkansas 4-4 playing at the No. 18 Rebels of Ole Miss 7-2 with the game being played at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi with kick-off scheduled for 3:35 PM ET and seen on CBS TV.

For those that Bet on College football the early odds have the Rebels of Ole Miss favored at -10 ½ with the Over/under at 54 and -425 on the Money Line, while the Razorbacks of Arkansas are the underdogs at +101/2 and +340 on the ML.

Yes this is a rivalry game with SEC action with the Razorbacks and Rebels, and the Rebels have 2 losses against the No. 7 Crimson Tide of Alabama and No. 15 Tigers of Memphis, but then came back and beat the No. 25 Aggies of Texas A&M and Tigers of Auburn. Meanwhile the Razorbacks struggled in their season start but enter this game after having 2 consecutive wins that included a 4th OT win over Auburn 54-46 last week.

For the SEC fans of the 4-4 Razorbacks (SEC 2-2) of Arkansas, the team after their loss to Bama, came back and had consecutive wins as they prepare for the Rebels of Ole Miss. In their last game against the Skyhawks of Tennessee-Martin they routed them 63-28 Saturday past.

In that game their QB B. Allen had a good game as he passed for 266 yards and TD’s. However their RB A. Collins was the star of the game as he rushed for 5 TD’s of 2 yards, 6 yards, 5 yards, 3 yards and 64 yards and for the game had 15 carries for 174 yards. But things may be more difficult against the Rebels of Ole Miss as their defense has only allowed opponents some 3.2 yards on each carry to date. Plus to date the Ole Miss Defense has only allowed 4 rushing TD’s this season.

If their RB Collins can’t gain yardage, the Razorbacks will have the QB Allen open up their passing game against the Rebels pass defense that has struggled as they allowing opponents some 227 yard passing in each game this season. QB Allen has demonstrated that he can make the big play since in the last 2 weeks has TD passes of 48 and 72 yards at Tennessee-Martins, and had passing 3 TD’s in the 4 OT win over Auburn.

Thus if the Razorbacks are to create an upset they will definitely need their defense to step up their play in a big way, because this season their defense has struggled and they only 3 sacks to date, and the Rebels have only allowed 1.8 sacks each game to date. In their ultimate 4 games the Arkansas team has 3 wins and 1 loss straight up!

Now if you’re a fan of the 7-2 Rebels of Ole Miss (SEC 4-1) your team was shocked by their loss in Week 7 to Memphis, but then came back for 2 straight wins as they now prepare for the Razorbacks of Arkansas.

Helpful recently was LT L. Tunsil who had a 7 game suspension and the return of DT R. Nkemdiche has aided the Rebels on both offense and defense as of late. Their QB C. Kelly has had a good season to date as he leads the SEC with 20 TD’s while accumulating 2,858 yard in passing. However as of late he has had 7 interceptions in his last three games this season. LT Tunsil’s return could give the QB more time to find his open receivers in the game, as he has a total of 12 intercepts to date.

QB Kelly’s favorite WR is L. Treadwell who leads the Rebels team with 61 receptions for some 872 yards and has scored 6 TD’s this season. The QB and receivers good have a big game against the Arkansas defense that has the worst pass defense in the SEC, as they have allowed opponents in each game to pass for at least 274 yards. However, the Razorbacks have reduced the damage by only permitting 8 TD’s to date.

Defensively the Rebels will be seeking turnovers and interceptions on the part of the Ole Miss QB Allen, as he has thrown at least 1 interception in 5 of their last 7 games in 2015. The defense has had made 12 interceptions to date that resulted in 3 TD’s. Both of those 2 pick 6 TD’s were thanks to safety T. Elson, who in this game will be guarding the Razorbacks top receiver D. Morgan who has 6 TD’s to date. Ole Miss has won their ultimate 7 home games and is 5 wins with 2 losses against the spread.

The prediction in this SEC rivalry game sees the Rebels of Ole Miss routing the Razorbacks of Arkansas as the cover the spread of -10 1/2!
