Iowa at Michigan State College Football Betting

College football betting has the Iowa Hawkeyes looking to start a season at 8-0 for the first time ever as they face Michigan State on Saturday. The Hawkeyes are sixth in the BCS standings and in good shape in the Big 10 and for a spot in a BCS bowl game. They face a tough NCAA football betting game though on Saturday against the Spartans. College football betting at the online sportsbook has the Hawkeyes and Spartans a pick with a total of 42.5 at the online sportsbook.  Iowa has won 11 straight games dating back to last season.  That is the second-longest winning streak in the country behind Florida’s 16 in a row. The Hawkeyes are not winning easily but they are still unbeaten.  Last week they trailed by ten points before rallying to defeat Wisconsin 20-10 in NCAA football betting. “We’ve been down before,” tight end Tony Moeaki said. “We’ve overcome some things.”

Defense is how Iowa has been winning in college football betting.  The Hawkeyes have a plus 11 turnover margin and have held six of their seven opponents to less than 18 points in college football betting.  “We’re certainly not the prettiest car in the lot,” Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz said. “But that’s OK. We’re having a lot of fun.”

Michigan State has recovered from a poor start this college football betting season to get right into the thick of the Big 10 race.  “We’ve battled back from a 1-3 start, and that’s not easy to do,” Spartans coach Mark Dantonio said. “We’ve kept our head up and persevered through things. If there’s any lesson there, that’s the lesson that you learn – stay the course and keep a positive attitude and things will turn out.”

Iowa leads the all-time college football betting series against the Spartans 20-18-2 but they have lost four straight in East Lansing.  College football betting indicates that the last time they won at Michigan State was in 1995.

Iowa has been very good on the road in college football betting. The Hawkeyes are 5-0 in college football betting in their last 5 road games. They have also been good in NCAA football betting in conference games as they are 7-3 in online sports betting in their last 10 conference games. The Hawkeyes are 6-1 vs. the college football betting odds in the last 7 meetings against the Spartans.

Michigan State has struggled at home in college football betting. The Spartans are 2-5 in NCAA football betting in their last 7 home games.
