Exciting College Football Betting Lines on Florida

The Florida Gators may not have Tim Tebow anymore but you may not want to discount them vs. college football betting lines this season. The Gators are loaded with talent and they are capable of winning vs. the college football odds. College football betting lines will favor Florida in almost all of their games in 2010. The one game in which they will be underdogs is at Alabama in early October. Last year the Gators had a target on their back and even though they went 13-1, it felt like a losing season for a Florida team that was expected to win it all.  There is no question that Florida will miss Tebow but they won’t miss the pressure.

Florida still has head coach Urban Meyer and some serious talent on both sides of the ball.  John Brantley is the starting quarterback this season and he is going to have a huge year in the SEC.  He has a great arm and will be throwing it all over the field.  He doesn’t have Tebow’s leadership skills but he does have a better arm. The Gators have two solid runners in Jeff Demps and Emmanuel Moody. The leading receiver this season could be Deonte Thompson or Andre Debose, a redshirt freshman who is back from injury. The offensive line is solid and should open some holes for whoever is running the ball and they should give Brantley solid protection.

The defense does lose some talent but at Florida they just reload with great recruiting classes.  They have a big recruit in Ronald Powell who may play right away upfront. The linebackers look solid with A.J. Jones returning from injury.  Janoris Jenkins leads the secondary at cornerback while Ahmad Black is back at strong safety.

Florida has some games to get the new players up to speed in 2010. They have easy games against Miami of Ohio and South Florida before going to Tennessee. That game against the Vols doesn’t look tough either as Tennessee is not very good.   Florida then hosts Kentucky before their two toughest games of the season at Alabama and home against LSU. The Gators will be underdogs at Alabama in college football odds but they should be favored in every other game this season including at Georgia and Florida State.
