2007-2008 SMU Mustangs College Basketball Lines

College basketball lines on SMU might not show the improvement right away that the Mustangs are making. Head coach Matt Doherty is trying to turn SMU into a winner and it make take some time according to experts that consider basketball lines.

College basketball lines show that SMU was a 3-13 bust last year in Conference USA.  Experts that look at basketball lines see that the Mustangs went 14-17 overall last season.  They lose three starters from last year’s team according to college basketball lines experts.  Basketball lines experts see that seven freshmen will be on the SMU roster in 2007-2008.  College basketball lines experts look down the road at SMU as a team to watch as Doherty builds the program.  Experts that bet college basketball lines know that SMU has not been to the postseason since 2000 and not to the Big Dance since 1993.  College basketball lines experts see that a new $13 million dollar facility will open early in 2008.

Experts that look at college basketball lines see that SMU has senior guard Jon Killen, senior guard Derrick Roberts and 7-1 junior center Bamba Fall as returnees.  College basketball lines may be impacted on SMU games by point guard Mike Walker, shooting guard Ryan Harp, 6-6 wing Bennie Rhodes, 6-8 forwards Alex Malone and Robert Nyakundi and 7-1, 245-pound center Tomasz Kwiatkowski. College basketball lines experts also see that 6-9, 250-pound forward Papa Dia is on the roster but he might miss the year with a back injury.  Overall basketball lines experts see a lot of big bodies but not a lot of developed talent for SMU.

Most college basketball lines experts see the future as bright for SMU but that may not translate into many wins this season.  College basketball lines experts know that Doherty must keep his team upbeat as he rebuilds.
“You want to put those guys in position to develop confidence,” Doherty said. “If they don’t win, especially young kids, all of a sudden losing just unravels a group.”   College basketball lines experts believe that Doherty is a good coach and has SMU on the right track.  How long that takes is the question that many basketball lines experts are wondering.
