North Carolina-Asheville at Kentucky College Basketball Betting

College basketball betting on Monday includes a matchup between unbeaten Kentucky and winless North Carolina Asheville. The Wildcats have started the season strongly but they have not always covered the NCAA basketball betting pointspread.

College basketball betting had Kentucky winning their last game against Stanford by a score of 73-65 in overtime. The Wildcats used the same staring lineup of Eric Bledsoe, John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, Patrick Patterson and DeMarcus Cousins. The Wildcats actually trailed in college basketball betting at the half 38-32 against Stanford. Kentucky outscored Stanford 10-2 in overtime. The Wildcats shot 44.6 percent from the field, its lowest percentage this college basketball betting season.

North Carolina Asheville is coming off a 72-66 loss to Furman.  The Bulldogs were led by sophomore guard J.P. Primm with a season-high 20 points. Chris Stephenson added 16 points while John Williams had 12 points, seven rebounds and five blocked shots as college basketball betting stats had it. “We played hard and played together but missed too many open shots,” said Asheville coach Eddie Biedenbach. “Our defense was inconsistent and had a few unforced turnovers that just hurt us at the wrong time. We still have a lot of work to do, but we’re starting to get better.”

North Carolina Asheville has no real shot to beat Kentucky outright but this season has shown they could keep it under the college basketball betting pointspread.  Kentucky is unbeaten straight up on the season but they are just 2-3 against the NCAA basketball betting odds.  The Wildcats are 32nd in the nation in points scored as college basketball betting statistics show, but their defense so far this season has been weak. If there is a college basketball betting line on this game the Wildcats defense may prevent them from covering the huge number.  The only positive for Kentucky is that they are at home and may want to put up a big score in college basketball betting against an inferior opponent.

John Wall has been doing it all so far this college basketball betting season for Kentucky.  He leads the team in scoring at 20.4 points per NCAA basketball betting game.  He also leads the team in assists and steals.  Patrick Patterson leads the team in rebounding in field goal percentage this college basketball betting season.  DeMarcus Cousins leads the team in blocks as NCAA basketball betting stats indicate.
