2007-2008 Marist Red Foxes College Basketball Betting Lines

College basketball betting line odds on Marist are going to be higher this season as the Red Foxes lose a lot from last year’s team that went 14-4 and won the MAAC title. Basketball betting experts believe that Marist will slip into the middle of the MAAC this season. College basketball betting lines experts saw Marist go to Oklahoma State last season in the NIT and win a game before losing to North Carolina State.  They will not be as fortunate this season according to college basketball betting lines experts.  The backcourt of Jared Jordan and Will Whittington are gone.

Newcomers will have to step in and get the job done led by senior Louie McCroskey, who sat out last season after transferring from Syracuse.  The other newcomers are sophomore junior college transfer David Devezin (Houston, TX; San Jacinto JC) and freshman Dejuan Goodwin (Baltimore, MD) according to college basketball betting lines experts.  Devezin will start at the point and Goodwin should get the other spot according to basketball betting experts.  Freshman Jay Gavin may also get playing time according to college basketball betting lines experts.

The frontcourt will be led by seniors Farmer (5.7 points per game according to college basketball betting lines stats), Stilphen (11.3 points per game according to basketball betting stats) and Spongy Benjamin (5.9 points per game according to college basketball betting lines stats).  Farmer can shoot while Stilphen is Marist’s leading returning scorer according to basketball betting stats.  Other returnees looking to contribute are senior Shae McNamara (3.1 points per game according to college basketball betting line stats) and junior Kaylen Gregory (2.1 points per game according to college basketball betting lines stats).

Ryan Schneider (Vermont transfer) and Lawrence Williams (redshirt) both will add depth to the frontcourt according to college basketball betting lines stats.  Also looking to play according to college basketball betting lines experts is freshman Korey Bauer (Whitehall, PA), who is back after sitting out last year.

The MAAC is tough this year with as many as five teams having a chance to win the title.  It is debatable according to college basketball betting lines experts whether or not Marist is one of those five teams.  The key player could be Devezin, who has the potential to impact the college basketball betting lines.
