It is the last game of a five-game homestand for the Knicks. It is a tough basketball betting game for the Raptors as they played last night at home vs. Miami.
Basketball bet has this as the second of four meetings between the two teams and final one in New York this season. The Raptors won the first meeting by a score of 112-104. Al Harrington led the Knicks with 31 points while David Lee added 25 points, 14 rebounds and a career high nine assists. The Raptors were led in the basketball bet win by Andrea Bargnani who had 24 points and 12 rebounds. When Bargnani provides support to Chris Bosh the Raptors can be a tough team to handle.
Toronto has won seven of the last ten in this series but they are just 5-5 against the basketball betting point spread. Toronto has won three of the last five at New York. Three of the last four in this series have gone under the basketball bet total although before that recent streak, the previous four had gone over.
Toronto is one of those teams that are tough to figure out when making a basketball bet. They are right around the .500 mark and in the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. They can be very good at times as was indicated earlier this week when they beat the Lakers, but at other times they can lose games like this one against New York. The Raptors can’t be trusted on the road as they are 10-14 against the basketball betting pointspread away from home. The Raptors can definitely score, as they are fifth in the league in points per game as basketball bet statistics indicate.
New York is about .500 at home vs. the basketball bet odds so they are not an automatic team to bet against. The Knicks have enough scoring that they can give teams trouble. The problem is that scoring is very inconsistent so you don’t know what to expect from night to night. They are similar to the Raptors in that respect but Toronto has more talent and that is the difference right now between the two teams. The Knicks simply don’t have the big names to win on a nightly basis in basketball betting.
