San Antonio Spurs at New York Knicks Basketball Betting

Basketball betting is showcased on NBA-TV on Sunday night as the New York Knicks host the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs will be favored in NBA betting but the Knicks have shown in recent weeks they can step up and win some games.

Basketball betting trends don’t necessarily favor the Spurs in this matchup. San Antonio is playing the second game of a brief two-game basketball betting road trip. The problem for the Spurs is that they played at Milwaukee last night. This is not a young San Antonio team and playing on back-to-back nights is a basketball betting concern. It is the last game of a five-game home stand for New York.

The Spurs have won eight of the last ten against New York but they are just 5-5 against the NBA betting odds in those games. The teams split their two meetings last year as each team won and covered the basketball betting line at home. The Knicks won 112-107 last year when hosting the Spurs. The Spurs have still won three of the last five at New York but they are just 2-3 against the basketball betting line. Four of those five games went over the NBA betting total.

San Antonio has not been a good road team this basketball betting season so that is another concern if you like the Spurs. The Spurs are right around the Top 10 in both points scored and fewest points against so they are capable of winning in basketball betting at anytime. They can get tired on the road though and that could be a problem versus the NBA betting line in this game against New York.

The Knicks have held their own at home in this basketball betting season. They have proven they can at least stay in games at home. They rank 11th in the league in offense and at least their defense this season is better than in the past. They are still below average but not the worst in the league. New York has actually been going under the basketball betting total more often than not this season. Putting Nate Robinson on the bench was a wise move and the Knicks actually are a competitive team on a nightly basis in basketball betting led by Al Harrington who is averaging almost 20 points per game this season.
