The Jazz have not gotten off to a good start this season in basketball betting and really need to win this game at home. Here is a look at some things to consider for this Saturday night NBA betting matchup between the Kings and Jazz.
NBA betting has the Kings playing the first of a back-to-back as they are home on Sunday against Golden State. The Kings have lost four of their last six overall against Utah and they are 5-5 against the NBA betting pointspread. The Kings and Jazz met four times last season and Utah won each game. Utah was also 3-1 against the basketball betting odds in those games. Utah won big in both home games last year against the Kings. They won 102-89 and 120-94. They did not cover that first game though as they only won by 13 points. Three of the last five meetings between the two teams in Utah have gone over the NBA betting total.
The Kings are not considered one of the contenders in the Western Conference. They are much better at home in NBA betting than on the road. They could be in for a long night at Utah in terms of basketball betting. The Kings don’t play much defense and that is a major problem when facing the Jazz. The Kings offense is nothing special either as it is right in the middle of the pack in terms of points scored per game.
Utah has been a disappointment this season in NBA betting. It is basically the same team as last year for the Jazz but so far they are struggling. Usually a Jerry Sloan team has an identity but this team does not. The Jazz didn’t deal with the Carlos Boozer situation in the off-season and perhaps it has carried over into this NBA betting season. Boozer is back but not real happy about it. Deron Williams is still a very good guard who can impact NBA betting but overall this Utah team looks to be in trouble this season. The defense is weak and unlike last season, the offense is struggling. The Jazz have gone over most of the time in NBA betting though and that could happen in this game against Sacramento. This is almost a must-win game early in the season for Utah against a weaker Sacramento team.
