The Bulls added Carlos Boozer in the off-season and when he gets healthy he should improve Chicago’s chances of success in NBA betting. Let’s take a look at the 2010-2011 Bulls.
Odds to Win the NBA Title at Sbgglobal – 15-1
The Bulls are definitely getting some respect in NBA futures. They are just 15-1 and those odds are pretty low. Chicago does look improved but the Bulls now have to get past not only Orlando and Boston in the Eastern Conference but now they have to get past the Miami Heat
Season Win Total 46.5
The Bulls won 41 games last season but the NBA betting odds makers believe that Chicago will be vastly improved. Their season win total is more than five games higher this season. The Bulls could reach that total as they do look to be improved in terms of coaching and in terms of talent.
Last Year’s Record – 41-41 SU, 42-38-2 ATS
The Bulls were just about a .500 team against the spread last season. Sometimes the Bulls got a great game from Derrick Rose and they covered the spread but in other games they looked disorganized and lost. That shouldn’t be as much of a problem this season with their new head coach Tom Thibodeau.
Projected Starting Lineup
Guard – Derrick Rose
Guard – Taj Gison
Center – Joakim Noah
Forward – Luol Deng
Forward – Carlos Boozer
The Bulls will have to do without Boozer for the first month of the season and that really hurts. Chicago plays in a weak division though and they can probably survive and should still win the division. To be a factor in the playoffs though, they need Boozer in a big way. Chicago also added some other nice pieces in the off-season in Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer but Boozer is the key to the Bulls this season. The lineup looks a lot better with Boozer in the lineup. Deng is not a consistent enough scorer and that puts too much pressure on Rose. He is a very talented player but he can’t carry the Bulls all by himself. With Boozer healthy this team can be a major factor in the Eastern Conference so you may not want to wager on the Bulls in NBA betting online until he gets into the lineup.
