The Bucks won 46 games last season but they were even better against the spread. Will Milwaukee be worth taking this season in NBA betting?
Odds to Win the NBA Title at Sbgglobal – 40-1
The Bucks are considered the second best team in the Central Division behind the Chicago Bulls. Milwaukee was a major surprise last season and actually made the playoffs. The Bucks made some changes in the off-season but it is questionable whether they were positive changes. The team re-signed John Salmons and went and spent a ton of money on Drew Gooden and Corey Maggette. The move to bring back Salmons looks good but the moves to get Gooden and Maggette could upset the team chemistry.
Season Win Total 45.5
This win total is just a game lower than what the Bulls have. It could be a total that is too high. The Bucks did win 46 games last season but there is no question the Eastern Conference is better and there are definite questions surrounding the chemistry of this year’s Milwaukee team.
Last Year’s Record – 46-36 SU, 52-28-2 ATS
The Bucks were simply excellent against the number last season. Scott Skiles is a good coach and he has his team ready to play on most nights. The Bucks were underestimated last year on a regular basis but that might not happen nearly as often this year.
Projected Starting Lineup
Guard – Brandon Jennings
Guard – John Salmons
Center - Andrew Bogut
Forward – Corey Maggette
Forward – Drew Gooden
The Bucks may have come too far, too fast last season in NBA betting online. Jennings was good at times last season but at other times he made poor decisions. He averaged 15.5 points and 5.7 assists last year. The Bucks got a big year out of Andrew Bogut but when he went down with an injury their season started to fall apart. And although Bogut is back, he is not fully healthy. Chemistry could also be an issue on this team with Jennings and Maggette always wanting the ball and it is hard to make a wager in NBA betting on a team that has Maggette on it.
