Denver Nuggets at Phoenix NBA betting

January 4th, 2024 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting has what should be an excellent matchup on Monday as the Phoenix Suns host the Denver Nuggets. These two teams like to run and gun so points should be plentiful in this basketball betting game. NBA betting had both teams playing yesterday so it is a tough back-to-back.  The Nuggets were at the Lakers in a huge game while Phoenix was at San Antonio.  The Suns have the advantage since they are at home and in this series the home team has simply dominated.  The home team has won nine of the last ten in this NBA betting series. Phoenix has won nine consecutive home games against Denver. The Nuggets have not won at Phoenix since 2004.

The teams played last month in Denver and it was a rare road win in this series as Phoenix won 109-97. It should be noted though that the Nuggets played without Carmelo Anthony in that game. Amar’e Stoudemire and Jason Richardson had 20 points each to lead the Suns.

Phoenix has covered the NBA betting number in 7 of the last 10 meetings against Denver.   While the Nuggets and Suns score a lot of points, the totals on their games are high.  In fact, four of the last five have gone under the basketball betting total.  That is definitely surprising considering the Suns are first in the league in offense while the Nuggets are second.  And neither of these teams plays defense as Denver ranks 22nd while the Suns are 29th in the league.

Denver has been solid on the road in NBA betting. The Nuggets are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. Denver has struggled on Monday’s recently though as they are 1-4 vs. the basketball betting total in their last 5 Monday games. They also are not very good in the second of back-to-backs as they are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games playing on no rest. The Nuggets are 1-5 vs. the NBA betting line in the last 6 meetings at Phoenix.

Phoenix has played very well of late. The Suns are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Four of the last five Denver Nuggets road games have gone over the NBA betting total. On the other side, nine of the last eleven Phoenix games have gone under. Four of their last five at home have gone under in basketball betting.
