January 8th, 2024 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting has seen Dallas and Golden State struggle lately but at least one of them will get a win tonight as the Warriors host the Mavericks. The Mavericks are 4-point favorites in basketball betting with a total of 218.5. NBA betting has Dallas with just one win in their last five games and that was against the Warriors.  Golden State has not won a game in more than two weeks.  The Warriors have lost eight straight overall including last Wednesday in NBA betting when Dallas beat them 110-101.  Monta Ellis had a career-high 46 points but the Warriors still lost by ten points.

Dallas has not been playing well lately and trade rumors are surrounding the team.  The Mavericks lost 117-108 at home to Minnesota on Friday and that was one of the low points of the season. “We need to dig down and find some pride,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said. “It’s as simple as that. We’re not going to be good until we play hard.” Leading scorer Dirk Nowitzki was late for the shootaround against the Timberwolves and did not start.  He finished with 21 points off the bench. “I was almost 30 minutes late,” Nowitzki said. “That was a distraction and it’s my fault.”

Golden State has not won a game since January 22nd but they have done well in this series against the Dallas Mavericks at home, winning five of the last six.  Ellis is averaging 33.5 points in his last four games against the Mavericks.

Dallas has simply been terrible in NBA betting all the way around. The Mavericks are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 vs. the Western Conference. The Mavericks are 2-7 in NBA betting in their last 9 Monday games. The Mavericks are 1-4 in basketball betting in their last 5 road games. The Dallas Mavericks are 5-21 ATS in their last 26 games as a favorite. The Mavericks are 2-13-1 vs. the basketball betting line in the last 16 meetings at Golden State

Golden State may be on a losing streak but they have some positive NBA betting trends for this game. The Warriors are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 vs. the Western Conference. The Warriors are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games as an underdog. The Warriors are 15-7 in basketball betting in their last 22 games overall.

Five of the last seven Dallas games overall have gone over the NBA betting total.
