The teams are fighting for playoff seeding and the intensity should be high. The Suns are the NBA betting favorite in this game since they are at home.
Basketball Playoffs betting seeding is really up in the air in the Western Conference heading into the last two days of the regular season. Denver could even end up on the road to start the playoffs if they lose this game. The matchups for the playoffs won’t be totally set until after tomorrow night’s action. Phoenix will play at Utah tomorrow night in another game that will impact the standings. This is the final game of the regular season for the Nuggets and a tough one since they had to play at home last night vs. Memphis.
Denver has had no success at all recently in Phoenix. The Suns have won 10 consecutive home games against Denver. The Nuggets have not won in Phoenix since 2004. The Suns have won two-straight meetings and three of the last four overall against the Nuggets. The home team had won 10 consecutive games in the head-to-head series before the Suns win at Denver on February 3rd. The last meeting between the two teams was in Phoenix last month and the Suns rolled to a 101-85 win. Phoenix fell behind by as many as 13 points in the second quarter of that game but the Suns held the Nuggets to only 52 points in the game’s final 36 minutes.

Phoenix is 7-3 against the NBA betting odds in the last ten games against the Nuggets. The Suns have covered the spread in all three games this season. All three of the games went under the total and five of the last six in this series have gone under. The scores this season have been 101-85, 109-97 and 105-99. It is very surprising to see such low scores between two of the highest scoring teams in the league. The total was listed at 220 or more in each of those three games and it never got close to that number.
This is a key game for Denver as they try and win their division and improve their seeding for basketball playoffs betting. It won’t be easy winning at Phoenix though as the trends have shown.
