February 22nd, 2024 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA All Star 2008 Slam Dunk lines will be available for the NBA All Star Slam Dunk contest on Saturday, February 16th from the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. The players in this year’s NBA Slam Dunk contest will be defending champion Gerald Green, Dwight Howard, Rudy Gay, and Jamario Moon.

NBA All Star Slam Dunk odds should be very exciting with the last two winners of the NBA Slam dunk contest, Green and Howard competing against rookie Jamario Moon who played in the past for the Harlem Globetrotters. NBA All Star Slam Dunk action will get underway at 8 pm Eastern on TNT television on Saturday February 16th.  The NBA All Star Slam Dunk contest will allow fans to have a say in who wins for the first time ever.  When the dunkers are narrowed to the final two the fans will have a vote in determining who wins the NBA All Star 2008 Slam Dunk contest.  Their votes will count for one third of the final votes with the judges counting for the other two-thirds of the NBA All Star 2008 Slam Dunk total.

The NBA All Star contest should be a good one with last year’s defending champ, Green trying to duplicate his perfect score of 50.  Green will be looking at the NBA All Star Slam Dunk contest as a chance to defend his title.  Golden State’s Jason Richardson and Chicago’s Michael Jordan are the only two players to have successfully defended their NBA Slam Dunk title.  Last year Green won the NBA Slam Dunk title with a windmill dunk over a table set as a prop.   Dwight Howard may have been even better but the judges did not give him the scores.

Rudy Gay is the unknown quantity in the NBA All Star 2008 contest as he is not a flashy player.  He is expected to use windmill and Rock the Cradle type dunks.  The star of the NBA All Star contest could be Jamario Moon who dunked while a member of the Harlem Globetrotters.  He was the alley-oop dunk specialist.  Moon should get some good action on the betting board for this year’s contest.
