World Series Game 3 Betting Odds – Royals at Mets

November 29th, 2019 Betting on MLB Baseball

With the 2015 Major League Baseball World Series underway we preview the 3rd game of this Series as the Royals of Kansas City 2-0 travel to play the New York Mets 0-2 with the game being played at the Citi Field in Flushing, New York and game time starts at 8:05 PM ET and seen on Fox TV.

The early betting odds for those that Bet on MLB have the Mets as the favorites at -135 on the Money Line and the Over/under at 7 and -1 ½ +160 on the Run Line, while the Royals are at +125 on the Money Line and +1 ½ on the Run Line for this game 3. Listed as starting pitchers for the Mets is N. Syndergaard and for the Royals Y. Ventura.

The Star and cheese thrower for the Royals in Wednesday night second game was pitcher J. Cueto as he pitched a 2 hit game as the Royals won the game and took a 2-0 lead in this 2015 World Series. Traveling to New York the Royals seek to put the Mets on the brink of elimination by winning this 3rd game and leading the Series 3-0.

For the fans of the Royals of KC 2-0, your team only needed their 5th inning of 4 runs to put them in the lead in that game 2 against the Mets of New York. Their trio that had hot bats were A. Escobar, E. Hosmer and M. Moustakas who all 3 provided singles that yielded RBI’s in that 4 run 5th inning as the Royals went on to win the 2nd game 7-1 over the Mets.

Now the 3rd game goes to the Citi Field which is said to be a pitcher friendly baseball park and most wonder if that will play a role with the hitters of the Royals of Kansas City. It should not because for the season the Royals have played at Kauffman Stadium which is ranked as the least generous stadium to power hitters in MLB parks and stadiums.

It should not matter since the Royals are not a team that depends on power hitters, as they rank 24th in the MLB in total HR’s and 21st in on the road HR’s during the 2015 regular season. Actually the offense of the Royals works with well placed hits that bring home the runs, and the Royals rank 3rd in the MLB in that category. Certainly the Royals starting pitcher for this game Y. Ventura hopes they score runs when he goes to the mound on Friday night.

Pitcher Ventura in game 6 of the ALCS had a good performance as in the game he only allowed 1 run in 5+ innings with only 4 hits as the Royals beat Toronto 4-3. To date in postseason games he is 0-1 with an ERA of 5.08. Meanwhile the Royals game 2 starter who completed the game and the win gave the Kansas City bullpen a good rest as they come into this 3rd game of the World Series, and those relievers have a compiled 2.75 ERA in the ultimate 14 games to date.

Now for the fans of the Mets of New York 0-2 come into this 3rd game with the Mets giving the start to N. Syndergaard, another long haired pitcher after a letdown in game 2 with long haired J. DeGrom on Wednesday night. To date this postseason Syndergaard has pitched in 3 games, with 2 as the starter, and 1 in relief.

Syndergaard last game saw him shut down the Cubs batters as he only gave up 3 hits and 1 run that was earned as he struck out 9 Cubs batters in the 5.3 innings that he pitched in a game 2 win of the NLCS over the Cubs. In his last 4 starts Syndergaard has struck out some 39 batters, probably why they call him the strikeout machine as he also leads the New York rotation with 9.97 strikeouts in each 9 innings pitched.

So in this game with his Mets trailing 0-2 in the series he will be under a lot of pressure to have a great performance in their home field where he has been near perfect on the mound, and the team is 10-3 in his ultimate 13 starts at home with an 2.45 ERA.

If Syndergaard is to win this game, it will because the Mets offense showed up at the bat, as in their last loss to the Royals, the team only had 2 hits and both by L. Duda. Yes the Mets hitters need to show up and get hot to give Syndergaard the win in this important game 3 for New York.

The sportsbook prediction for this Game 3 of the 2015 World Series is that the strikeout machine, Syndergaard will prevail and the Mets beat the Royals 3-2!
