January 14th, 2020 Betting on MLB Baseball

With the NBA and NCAA BB seasons coming to end, it’s time for the Major League Baseball (MLB) to get underway and the 1st game of the 2015 Regular Season starts this Sunday the 5th of April with just one game from the National League, with the Cardinals of Saint Louis playing the Cubs of Chicago at 8 PM ET with the game played at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois and will be seen on ESPN2.

Since the 2015 season gets underway remember that there is the Weekly Home Run Contest at SBG Global awaiting your participation. Yes, MLB Baseball is back and this Sunday we will see 2 teams of franchises with legendary history and the Cardinals and the Cubs start the season and the 1st game of 2015 schedule. The Cubs starting pitcher for this 1st game is their free agent purchased recently Jon Lester, while the Cardinals will start their top pitcher Wainwright.

As the 2015 Season starts and if you’re a Cardinals fan and will Bet on MLB and your favorite Sportsbook, then remember the Cardinals last season in the NLCS lost to the Giants of San Francisco, and this season they seek to rebound with a stronger team and try to again win for the third straight season the National League Central Championship Title in 2015. In the MLB futures for the season, the Cardinals odds are at +140 to win their NL Central Title again.

First the Cardinals have to face t he Cubs of Chicago and their starting Ace Wainwright who in 2014 had a 2.38 ERA and a 20-9 win/loss record. Wainwright had not struggled when pitching against the Cub as he is 8-2 against Chicago and that dates back to 2012 and when pitching against Cubs at their home Wrigley Field he has 5 wins and 1 loss.

If you a Cubs fan, then you certainly feel optimistic that your team coming into 2015 MLB should do very well this season with a team that has a lot of very talented young players, with one being their new star pitcher Lester along with their New Manager Joe Maddon of Tampa Bay Rays fame. They should have the players and the hitting power offensively to shake up this National League Central Division.

Lester, the Cubs starting pitcher of Red Sox fame gets his first start with his new team in the NL as in the 2014 season he had a 2.45 ERA with 220 strikeouts. However, if he pitches a great game and gets no support to get the runs required to win the game, then his pitching would be for no gain. That scenario comes about as in 2014 the Cubs were one of the worst offensive teams in their league at 26th in the ranking for runs scored during the 2014 season. But the Cubs made some off-season acquisitions that they look forward to them providing the hitting power to give the team some new spark and enthusiasm.

The best player remaining on the Cubs team from last season is 1st baseman Rizzo who is very dynamic and had 78 runs batted in and 32 homeruns last season. Against the Cardinals pitcher in this upcoming game, and in 27 at bats against Wainwright he had 1 homerun and 9 safe hits in 2014. Their new acquisition Fowler for the Astros in 2014 was .275/.376/.785 as a triple slash line statistic.

Since the Cub of Chicago had won their last 2 games against the Cardinals in 2014 the Media Experts predict the Cubbies will win this game at Chicago Cubs 4 St. Louis Cardinals 3 in 9 innings.
