Wednesday MLB Gambling – Division Leaders Battle in Texas as Rangers host Yankees

American League Divisional leaders meet on Wednesday in MLB gambling as the Texas Rangers host the New York Yankees.

The Yankees are not underdogs very often in baseball gambling but they should be on Wednesday at Texas since the pitching matchup definitely favors the Rangers.

The Yankees have been money for gamblers at Sbg global in recent weeks but they do still have a couple of holes in their starting rotation and one of those pitchers goes on Wednesday. Javier Vazquez is 10-9 on the season with a 5.01 ERA. The Yankees had banished him to the bullpen but they brought him back on Saturday for a start against the Blue Jays and the results were not pretty.  He gave up five runs on four hits in just 4 2/3 innings. It is simply hard to like the Yankees when Vazquez is on the mound.  Another negative if you are looking at the Yankees is that Vazquez is 2-2 with a 6.56 ERA in his career against the Rangers.

Huge Pitching Edge for Texas – The Rangers best pitcher goes to the mound on Wednesday.  And no it is not Cliff Lee.  The Rangers best pitcher is C.J. Wilson. He is 14-6 on the season with a 3.10 ERA.  He did lose last time out versus the baseball gambling odds against the Yankees but he is still 7-1 with a 2.67 ERA in 10 starts since the All-Star break. He is 10-2 with a 3.11 ERA at home and in his last three starts he is 2-1 with a 3.79 ERA. He has a good ERA in his career against the Yankees at 3.47 ERA but he is 0-3.

Recent Matchups – The Yankees had won 12 of the last 20 against Texas before this series began.  The teams met in Texas last month for two games and each team won a game.  The Rangers won 4-3 while the Yankees won 7-6.  You want to know the weird part of those two games in MLB gambling?  Each of tonight’s starting pitchers was on the mound in that series.  The Yankees won when Vazquez started even though he was rotten again. They outscored Texas 7-6.  The Rangers won 4-3 when Wilson started although he did not get the decision.
