Baseball Odds Chicago White Sox Preview

November 30th, 2010 Betting on MLB Baseball

Baseball odds season is just weeks away and Chicago White Sox fans have plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

If this year’s baseball odds action goes anything like last season for Sox it could be division win for baseball odds fans in the South side of Windy City. Loaded with great pitching and plenty of big bats the AL Central is one of the tougher divisions in baseball odds competition yet the Sox proved to the world they were the team to beat last year and will look to defend their baseball betting odds crown.

Baseball odds makers like the Sox’s chances this season. This team is deep both on the mound and behind the plate and is just several years removed from winning a baseball odds World Series title. On the mound this team’s starting rotation, when healthy, can cause a lot of problems for baseball odds opponents. The ace of the starting staff, Mark Buehrle is as a very strong pitcher who can give you at least 200 innings per baseball betting odds season and although last year the ERA ballooned a little to 3.49, generally keeps runners off the bases.

Buehrle is backed up by two superb starters in Gavin Floyd and John Danks. Floyd actually led the team in wins last baseball odds season with 17 and will look to build on this break out year in the 2009 baseball betting odds competition. The bottom half of the starting rotation is bit shakier, but Bartolo Colon could emerge as a very valuable asset during this baseball odds campaign. Coming off of surgery it could take him awhile to get going, but he could also be the biggest baseball odds surprise for this team if he can regain his form.

At the plate the Sox are loaded with solid bats, a pre-req for this fine hitting baseball odds division. This lineup is long on power with Carlos Quentin, Jim Thome and Jermaine Dye all blasting over 34 HRs last baseball odds season. That projects to a lot of runs this season if players can get on base. The team will miss the loss of the newly traded Nick Swisher, but will still have plenty of fire power left to harass opposing pitchers in the baseball betting odds.

Coming off an 89-win season, the Sox look poised to perhaps do even better in ’09 and should be considered the division front runner in the baseball odds until another teams proves otherwise.
