Betting Major League Baseball: Marlins vs. Braves in NL East Battle 7/3

The Atlanta Braves and the Florida Marlins are two above average teams that could both in the thick of the playoff hunt come September this betting Major League baseball opportunity should not only be entertaining but if could have a big impact on the way the NL East playoff race shakes out.

With half the season left to play out it might be a bit premature to start handicapping MLB props and futures options like the NL East playoff race, but from here on out every game counts.  And obviously the Braves are in much better position to challenge to be featured in any betting Major League baseball matchup in the post season, but with a trade here and there to acquire some bull pen help the Marlins could easily be in the thick of the NL East baseball betting race as well.

Entering the weekend the Florida Marlins were 4 games below .500 (37-41) and 8.5 games behind the division leading Atlanta Braves.  The Braves have gotten off to a great start to the betting Major League baseball season with a record of 46-33, the best in the NL baseball betting action.  But if you’ve betting any Major League baseball action this season you probably also know that the team has been see-sawing back and forth at the top of the NL East with the New York Mets (44-35) and now have just a 2.0 game lead in the standings.

On Saturday July 3rd the Marlins will try and shrink that lead and improve their own position in the NL East playoff betting race by defeating the Braves in Atlanta.

The Marlins will send one of its top starters, Anibel Sanchez (7-4, 3.18 ERA), to the mound in Saturday’s betting Major League baseball matchup.  Sanchez terrific over his last three starts allowing just 5 runs and pitching 6 or more innings in each start.  He should give the Braves hitters all they can handle and the Marlins as good a chance as any of beating Atlanta in the betting Major League baseball odds action.

The Braves starter will be right-handed Tommy Hanson (7-5, 4.50 ERA) whose benefitted from very generous run support throughout the betting Major League baseball betting season and is not nearly as good as his winning record indicates.
