Baseball Betting Preview of the Brewers at Padres Game

Baseball betting will close up its 5th month of action when the calendar page turns from July to August.

So far there have been plenty of compelling storylines in the bet on baseball possibilities but the San Diego Padres have not been a part of any of them. On the last night in July the Padres will play host to the Milwaukee Brewers in a game that means nothing to the home team but could have big baseball betting implications for the Brew Crew.

Baseball betting division races are starting to sizzle as teams fight for a spot in the most select postseason in all of sports. Bet on baseball opportunities are at their finest as teams finalize their rosters before the trade deadline and try to solidify their starting rotations before the baseball betting competition begins in earnest.

This year –as with most bet on baseball seasons- the Padres will have no part in this drama. They will be on the sidelines, as they are most years, from August forward. It is all but a mathematical possibility that the Padres will be appearing in any baseball betting postseason games and soon enough even that long shot hope will be smashed. With a record of 37-57 only the Washington Nationals prevent San Diego from being home to the worst team in the bet on baseball action.

The Brewers on the other hand have plenty of reasons to be excited. At 48-46 they’re just two games out of the lead in the very competitive NL Central baseball betting standings. Every game counts for this club and they must take advantage of baseball betting series against pushovers like the Padres.

San Diego has been surprisingly good for a bad baseball betting team at home and is nearly .500 at PetCo Field (24-25). Adrian Gonzales has been the only bright spot in the lineup but his bat won’t likely be enough to get past the visitors. The Brewers pitching is hardly the best in baseball betting, but it’s shown improvement. In any event, it’s the bats that get the job done for the Brew Crew and if they can get a lead heading into the late innings the team will be victorious. Ex-Padre Jake Peavy has been the team’s saving grace in the baseball betting and one of the best closers in the game.

Brewers will win this game and enhance their chances in the NL Central baseball betting division race.
