The Dodgers have a talented roster that includes Manny Ramirez. This is probably going to be the last time you can say that though as MLB betting indicates that this will be the last season for Manny with the Dodgers.
Baseball betting had Manny saying that he won’t be with the Dodgers next season. In fact, Ramirez may be playing his last season. "I won't be here next year, so I just want to enjoy myself," Ramirez said. "I don't know [if I'll play next year]. I just know I'm not going to be here. When the season is over, I will see where I'm at." Manny is in the final year of a two-year $45 million dollar contract. He turns 38 in late May and is on the downside of a great career. Manny missed a lot of last season because of a suspension and overall it was a down year for him in MLB betting stats.
The Dodgers have not said anything about resigning Ramirez but it does seem unlikely. "I'm just speculating but I'm not 23 anymore," Ramirez said.
Manny might be playing his last season or he may be able to find a team next season that would want him as a DH. "The game is still fun, but I think I have to wait until the season ends and see where my family is at before I make a choice," Ramirez said. "I will just wait and see how my body reacts"
The key for Manny will be what he does this baseball season. His numbers last year were not that good and many are speculating that once he came back from suspension it changed everything for him. Manny has been very happy in Los Angeles though. He would have preferred to be in Los Angeles earlier in his career. "That has been great," he said. "I wish I could have been there a long time ago."
The Dodgers are not the favorite to win the World Series in 2010 in baseball betting but they are a contender behind popular teams like the Yankees and Red Sox. Los Angeles is 15-1 in MLB betting odds. A healthy and productive Manny Ramirez would definitely increase the chances that the Dodgers could be a factor in baseball betting this season.
