Colonel John has also never raced on the dirt but is still likely to be the second choice in Kentucky Derby odds.
The horse no one can figure out in Kentucky Derby odds is Pyro. He may have been the favorite in Kentucky Derby odds but he flopped in the Blue Grass and is now likely the third choice on the Kentucky Derby odds board. Was the flop for real or did he just not like the track. No horse has won the Derby with a finish in their last race worse than fourth since 1957.
