The next major golf betting event is The Players Championship in early May.  That tournament is considered by many people around the world to be the 5th major.  The second official major golf betting tournament is the U.S. Open in early June.  Next up for golf betting fans in terms of majors is the British Open in mid July.  The final major is the PGA Championship in early August. During the season golfers will be playing for the FedEx Cup.  It is a championship trophy awarded after a playoff type system for the final few events of the season.  The 2007 defending FedEx Cup champion is Tiger Woods.   After the FedEx Cup is awarded there are still tournaments on the PGA schedule.  The last tournament for 2008 is the Children’s Miracle Network Classic, November 3rd-9th at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
