The PGA Tour begins their season each January, usually on a golf course located in Hawaii. The early part of the golf betting season has PGA players on golf courses in warm weather sites like Hawaii, California, Arizona and Florida. The PGA tour moves to golf courses outside of those sites with major golf betting tournaments like the Masters in early April and other events like the Byron Nelson Championship on the golf course in Irving, Texas. The early part of the PGA Tour season is just a warmup for the big events that begin with the Masters.
The Masters is the first major golf betting event of the PGA season. It attracts golf betting fans from all over the world. The next golf course that attracts significant golf betting action is the TPC in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida where The Players Championship is held. That golf betting tournament takes place in May. The next major event is the U.S. Open played in mid-June for golf betting fans. The British Open is the next major in mid-July for golf betting fans. The month of August has two major golf betting events. The World Golf Championships take place early in the month and the PGA Championship is played in the middle of the month. The last three events on the golf betting slate take place in September with the Deutsche Bank Championship on the TPC golf courses in Norton, Massachusetts, the BMW Championship for golf betting fans on the Cog Hill golf courses in Lemont, Illinois and the season ending Tour Championship in Atlanta, Georgia which concludes the golf betting season.
Golf betting fans really focus on the four major tournaments, the Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open and the PGA Championship. The 2007 season should be more interesting for golf betting fans with the introduction of the FedEx Cup and the points system that makes the last few events of the season very important. That should increase golf betting interest, especially in the Tour Championship at the end of the PGA season. The many gamblers that like to bet golf take a look at the entire PGA Tour season and get many options to bet golf each season. In addition to the major tournaments there are events each week of the PGA Tour season which stretches almost two thirds of the year. The PGA Tour season is long and gives gamblers a lot of great betting action in the golf courses.
