2009 MLS Cup Betting

MLS Cup betting is underway for 2009, and the playoffs have begun. Which teams seem to be at the top this year and real contenders for the cup?

So far, the teams that have qualified for the MLS Cup betting Conference Semifinals are Columbus Crew, Real Salt Lake, Chicago Fire, and New England Revolution. Also qualified are the Los Angeles Galaxy, Chivas USA, Houston Dynamo, and the newly formed Seattle Sounders FC. So who looks to be the future soccer betting champion this year?

MLS Cup betting stats are all up, and it seems as if Columbus Crew could once again be the dominant team this year. The Red Bull New York really dropped from last year’s runner-up position after the Crew to the last place in the entire soccer betting league. Quite the freefall if you look at it; and it can probably be attributed to the resignation of their coach, Juan Carlos Osorio. Either way, they finished with almost a 1:4 win-loss ratio.

The Seattle Sounders FC is another team to keep your eye on. This team, though in its first real season in MLS Cup betting, has managed to surpass many fans’ expectations and has finished 3rd in the Western Conference, 4th in the league. For the first match of the Conference Semifinals, the Sounders held the Houston Dynamo at bay, with the first leg of the MLS Cup betting match going scoreless on both sides.

Columbus Crew, however, did not do as well. The Crew are an excellent team, and they finished first in the league with 49 points and a 13-7-10 soccer betting record. The first leg of their MLS Cup betting Conference Semifinals match didn’t go very well, as they lost 0-1 to the Real Salt Lake. The second leg of the match is on Thursday, November 5. If the Crew can win by 2 points or more, it will put them one step closer to defending their title as MLS Cup betting champions.

The LA Galaxy is back in the game with the British soccer betting superstar David Beckham and American Landon Donovan. The first leg of their MLS Cup betting Conference Semifinals Chivas USA held them to two goals, and the game finished in a tie. Their second leg is on Sunday, November 8th.

Chicago Fire and New England Revolution face off for their second leg on Saturday, November 7th. These are some MLS Cup betting games you won’t want to miss.
