This soccer bet off-season the EPL has been full of player transfers and top names changing addresses and as a result the terrain at the top of the EPL world has shifted.
Soccer bet fans of the EPL have seen Manchester United dominate the domestic competitions the past few years and make some noise in Europe, capturing the Champions League soccer betting title in 2008. But the 2009 soccer bet offseason has been unkind in terms of player loss. In fact, the smart soccer bet might be against the Red Devils retaining the EPL crown.
Man U has lost it best player, Cristiano Ronaldo and one its top strikers, Carlos Teves in an offseason that has brought in hordes of cash but very little talent. How Man U will compete late in the season in Europe and the EPL without these two offensive wizards remains a mystery. Fergie has done very little to bring in any new offense, despite the pile of cash at his disposal, and the team is no longer the soccer bet favorite to take the domestic cup.
As usual, the EPL soccer bet race for the title is actually only a four or five horse race. Outside of Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and perhaps Man City, no team has any legitimate shot at winning the EPL. Even Man City could be a longshot as it may have signed some big names, but it yet to take the field and see how these players get on in a soccer betting situation.
Chelsea looks to be the favorite in the soccer bet pool this year to finally pry the EPL title away from Man U. Chelsea is a the smart soccer bet for several reasons. For one, the team has not only the most talented roster in the EPL, but the most depth. It’s also got to be very hungry after just missing out on Champions League soccer betting glory yet again last season. It would love nothing more to knock off Man U and get a little sweet revenge on the way to the EPL soccer bet title.
Liverpool is huge talent but struggles every year in domestic play. No reason to expect that to change this year, though team should do quite well in European soccer bet competitions. Arsenal has plenty of young talent but as we’ve seen the past few soccer bet season, Arsene Wenger’s squad is still a piece or two away from competing with Chelsea and Man U.
