DWTS Season 10 Winner

There was no surprise in the Dancing with the Stars betting finale as Nicole Scherzinger and her partner Derek Hough won the mirror ball trophy.

The duo of Scherzinger and Hough were the favorites in Dancing with the Stars odds from the first week of the show and the ultimate result was never really in doubt.

Dancing with the Stars betting in most seasons would have had Evan Lysacek winning but this season he had to settle for second place.  Erin Andrews was also very good but she finished in third place.  It is the second win for professional dancer Derek Hough as he also won with current co-host Brooke Burke.

The finale was really very good with Nicole and Evan leading the way with their perfect scores heading into Tuesday’s final show.  The early elimination in the Tuesday finale came when Erin Andrews was sent out in third place.  She had a very good season with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy but she was a notch below the top two.

In the dance-off round, both Nicole and Evan were excellent but there was really not much doubt that Nicole was going to win.  She and Derek did a great jive and scored another perfect score of 30.  Evan was great with his quickstep but there was just no beating Nicole in this year’s Dancing with the Stars.

Nicole Scherzinger was one of the biggest favorites in the history of Dancing with the Stars betting. She is a Pussycat Dolls singer and really came into the competition with a big advantage.  It also helped that she had a great professional partner in Derek Hough. Evan Lysacek and his partner Anna Trebunskaya would have won in other years but they just couldn’t reach the level of Nicole and Derek this season.  Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were a solid third place duo but they were never really a threat to either of the top two in Dancing with the Stars betting.

Dancing with the Stars is different than American Idol as they have two seasons each year.  It won’t be long before another season of Dancing with the Stars odds are on the board as a new set of dancers will hit the floor this fall.
