Parading Out of Breeders Cup Wagering

November 30th, 2010 Breeders Cup Betting

Breeders Cup wagering in early November will not include Parading after the horse finished a poor fourth in the Goodwood Stakes at Santa Anita.

The horse had been a Breeders Cup betting possibility but trainer Shug McGaughey has said the horse is not in consideration anymore for the Breeders Cup.

Breeders Cup wagering is losing horses for the Classic on a regular basis but a full field is still expected for the race at the online sportsbook on Saturday, November 7th.  Parading would have been a Breeders Cup betting longshot in the race anyway.  He won the Grade 3 Ben Ali at Keeneland earlier in the year but finished fifth in the Hollywood Gold Cup and finished fourth in the Pacific Classic and in the Goodwood.

While Parading is out of Breeders Cup wagering, it is possible that Grade 1 Whitney winner Bullsbay could be in.  The horse finished third behind Rachel Alexandra in the Woodward in early September.  The horse injured his right foot in training so his health is the key issue for future Breeders Cup wagering plans.  Trainer Graham Motion is planning to enter Bullsbay in the Classic if everything goes well. He is looking to enter Cherokee Artist in Breeders Cup wagering in the Dirt Mile.

The key day in Breeders Cup wagering at the online sportsbook is Saturday, November 7th headlined by the Breeders Cup Classic.  That is a $5 million dollar race and is considered the best Breeders Cup wagering race. The race will have Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird and could also include the unbeaten filly Zenyatta. Saturday has a great field of Breeders Cup wagering including the Classic. Also on the Breeders Cup betting card is the $3 million dollar Turf which always attracts the best turf horses in the world.  The Juvenile, the Mile and the Sprint are all $2 million dollar Breeders Cup wagering races for Saturday.  Not to be left out on Saturday in Breeders Cup wagering are the Dirt Mile, the Juvenile Turf, the Turf Sprint and the Marathon.

Breeders Cup wagering action for 2009 actually begins on Friday, November 6th. There are five races that day in Breeders Cup betting.  The Filly & Mare Turf, the Ladies Classic, the Juvenile Fillies, the Filly & Mare Sprint and the Juvenile Fillies Turf are on the Breeders Cup online betting card for Friday.
