While Uncle Mo is the favorite at the Sbg sportsbook, there are some other horses that could be worth considering in Breeders Cup odds for the Juvenile.
There are five horses that are the main contenders in the Juvenile. Each of them won one of the five Grade 1 races this year for 2-year olds. There is Uncle Mo who won the Champagne, Boys at Tosconova who won the Hopeful, Jaycito who won the Norfolk, J.P.’s Gusto who won the Del Mar Futurity and J.B.’s Thunder who won the Breeders’ Futurity.
We have to begin with Uncle Mo in the Juvenile as he is the favorite. He is trained by Todd Pletcher who is arguably the best trainer in the world. Pletcher really likes this horse and he is a deserving favorite although he is young and anything can happen with young horses.
Boys at Tosconova
This horse could go off as the second choice in the Juvenile. He won the Hopeful and is capable of giving Uncle Mo some competition. The win in the Hopeful was impressive but we still don’t know just how good this horse is.
He will probably be the third choice at about 6-1 in Breeders Cup odds for this race. He beat J.P.’s Gusto last time out. Some people believe this horse has the pedigree to be a factor in next year’s Kentucky Derby.
This will be the first race on dirt for Jaycito, J.P.'s Gusto, J.B.'s Thunder, Biondetti, and Rogue Romance. The two favorites, Uncle Mo and Boys at Tosconova will be going around two turns for the first time.
