NASCAR Betting Gears Up For the Budweiser Shootout at SBG Global

NASCAR betting event known as the Daytona 500 is a week long affair known as ‘Speed Week’ with various races including the incredibly fun Budweiser Shootout.

NASCAR betting has come along way over the past few decades. It used to be that that the fans went to Daytona to bet on NASCAR at a race on the sand at the beach. NASCAR betting races’ format has exploded over the years and now just about any type of race you can imagine to bet on NASCAR competition exists. The Budweiser Shootout is a perfect example of how innovation in race formatting and great driving have come together to form an outstanding event for fans to bet on NASCAR.

For those NASCAR betting fans that perhaps aren’t aware of what goes on during Speed Week and not quite sure what the Budweiser Shootout is, it is simply one of the greatest innovations in NASCAR betting of the last few decades. All the top stock car drivers from all over the world descend upon Daytona Beach, FL in the early part of February for the grand-daddy of bet on NASCAR events, the Daytona 500 –but it’s really so much more than that.

The highlight of the week leading up to the main NASCAR betting event is in fact the Budweiser Shootout. Originally started in 1979 this race has only gotten better with age as most NASCAR betting fans would agree. Throughout the years there have been a number of format changes, but in its present form there are two segments. The first is a short 20-lap sprint, where NASCAR betting fans can get a feel for which drivers are hot, and after a brief ten minute break the cars get back on the track for the NASCAR betting finale. This consists of a 50 lap all out sprint in which every team must pit for fuel at least once.

As many NASCAR betting fans know, the Budweiser Shootout doesn’t count as a points race for the regular NASCAR betting season. However, there is a huge cash purse, which is incentive enough for NASCAR betting drivers. And that’s to say nothing of the bragging rights that go with winning this super fun race.

The field is determined by invitation only and the top six teams for the four manufactures from the previous NASCAR betting season make up the field. The starting placement is determined by draw and basically, this is as close as any NASCAR betting event comes to being an all out free-for-all of speed. It’s not to be missed.
